Christmas Eve at the Falke's

We spent Christmas eve at the Falke's house. It was a time of good food, good company, and a whole lot of noise. We has a nativity play in which Wags and Pop were the stars. Wags played baby Jesus and Pop played Joesph. The missionaries also helped out in bringing girft as the wise men. Couldn't have asked for a better play. We played the left to right gift game in which after Devan got his little stuffed cow snabbed by one of the little kids the second he opened it... we both ended up with the presents I had wrapped. Score!

Ode to Guitar Hero

There comes a time in everyones life when they need to sit down, flash the rock-on sign and play a little gee-tar hero. Many hours and blank stares and close to bloody fingers have been put into this beautiful mind-trap of a game. This blog is to make our love for guitar hero known. ROCK ON!

Go Cougs

As the season comes to an end, we must look back and give our thanks to BYU football. Thank you for all the lost voices, frozen toes, the band, 'boos', penalties, touchdowns, screams, guys who think they are best friends with everyone on the team, guys who can't sing the fight song on key, and guys who can't scream without their voice cracking. Football brings many good memories, touching moments, nailbiters, and laughs and this blog is dedicated to our love for BYU football.

SSCC

The Utah branch of the Stiles family have started a new tradition. It is called Super Stiles Cooking Class (SSCC). The first Saturday of every month we are having a cooking class. This past Saturday was Pie Night. Garrett, Jeff, Sue, Devan and I all gathered together to learn how to make pies. Jeff and Garrett each made a beautiful apple pie. Smelled delicious and the filling was perfect. Sue made a triple-berry pie in which I have never seen a better crust, it was marvelous! And Devan made a Lemon Meringue pie which turned out even better the second day! :-) So the following are some pictures from the first anual Super Stiles Cooking Class. We all sure did have a lot of fun, and thanks to Burgers Supreme, some wonderful hamburgers (and a grilled cheese smotherd in fry sauce for me!) We needed a little sodium. Later classes to come! :-)

Halloween

There comes time to reach in your closet and see what you've got to dress up in for Halloween. Some of us reach in and find gear for our favorite idol (my costume), dress to impress, show your love for someone you think is awesome. Of course when you reach in and find that you have your baby blue Western Leisure suit, a sigh a relif blows through your mind. 10 minutes beofre our trunk or treat my dear husband reaches into his closet only to pull out his baby blue western leisure suit. It probably fit even better now than it did when he wore it to his senior prom. It hugs all those newly formed areas on the thighs, buttocks, and lower abdomen that we like to call "marriage lumps". Needless to say his Western Leisure Suit (which was a big hit) looked better than it ever has! :-) Love you Devan!

The ol' western leisure suit and Dee Brown.
Our 3 dollar trunk or treat.
Some of the work girlies...
Shootin' hoops... you know it. I went all out... corn-rows and all.

Feliz Cumpleanos

For Devan's Birthday we went to Salt Lake and ate at the Roof... and of course made a nice stop at Nordstrom's Rack. Here are a couple pictures from the dinner:

These are all pictures from our table we were eating at.

We really had a great time... and the desserts were to die for!

I loved the flan!!!
Birthday Boy!

Twilight....

For all of you vampire-obsessed, Edward loving, tear-jerking Twilight lovers, this blog is here to tell you that Devan and I understand. Yes, Devan and I, so I cannot be the only one from the Stiles family that has been consumed by the Cullen family. For those of you who can't seem to get out of the Twilight world, we hear ya. Our world has been consumed by vampires, werewolves and a little girls names Bella that we just cannot seem to get out of. I guess my main target for this blog is Emily and Shaunee, both of who understand my pain. Many burned dinners, dirty diapers, ignored husbands, ignored children, 2:00 am bedtimes, tear-wetted pillows, ignored husbands, obsessed-thoughts, dreams, endless minutes on Mom's rocking chair and ignored husbands are due to these magnificant tales. Thank you Stephenie Meyer!

Now, the following pictures are those who I think would be great for the parts in the upcoming Twilight movie (2008) :-)

Edward Cullen:

Hey Edward... Bite me!

Bella Swan:

I love this girl.

To Blog

To all who read our blog... my apologies. See Devan made us a blog and then things just went from there. It has been a very busy summer/fall for the both of us. Devan lascerated his tendon in his finger and had to get it stitched back together. We went to Idaho and Texas for summer vactions. I had an emergency apendectamy (appendix out) which stunk. But now that things are sort of back together I am going to make blogging a regular thing. Hope you enjoy our things to come.

our wedding

Lauren and I got married on the 19th of May, of this last year. It was a beautiful semi-hot day. The day was such a blur that it is hard to recollect all of the events that took place. In the morning there was a brunch (I liked to call it a bruncheon) at the BYU Sky Room for all of our guests that were going to attend the temple and also other close friends and family. That was a nice affair even though it was very difficult for both Lauren and my self to eat very much. After the brunch we traveled over the American Fork to the Timpanogos Temple. There we were sealed for all time and eternity. That was such a beautiful thing, and it is amazing to me how I get the opportunity to spend the rest of eternity with the woman that I love most. After the sealing was what seemed like an endless amount of pictures. We then traveled back to Provo for our reception in the Moulton's backyard. That was a beautiful party. It was very nice to see all the people that came to see us and wish us their best as we begin a new life together. After the reception it was off to SLC for Lauren and myself. So that was our beautiful wedding day.

Well, hello. This first post is for my wife to let her know that I love her. We have been married for almost three months now. It could not have imagined a better three months. I love her more and more each day. Things definitly change when you get married. We just recently bought a car. A Nissan Altima. It is a nice car that will be great for Lauren to drive around. Next week we are heading off to Idaho for the Jenkins family reunion. We are really excited to get away, and the following week off to Dallas, Texas. Future updates on those trips are to come. Adios. Via con dios.
